DESCRIPTION:Explore the Coastal Ecosystem at Dr. Von D. Mizell–Eula Johnson State Park \nDiscover the vital role of Florida’s coastal habitats through hands-on exploration and scientific investigation! \nStudents will gain a deeper understanding of how mangroves\, seagrass beds\, and sandy shores work together to support Florida’s biodiversity — and how we can all play a role in keeping these ecosystems healthy. \nProgram includes: \nMangrove Lesson & Exploration – Learn about the three types of mangroves\, their adaptations\, and how they protect our coastlines. \nFishing & Ethical Angling or Seine Netting & Microscopic Study – Practice sustainable fishing techniques or collect and observe marine life using seine nets\, then study your finds under a microscope. \nGuided Coastal Walk – Engage in a sensory “I Spy” adventure to identify native plants and wildlife while exploring the shoreline. \nEco-Action Project – Participate in a stewardship activity to help protect and preserve this unique coastal environment. \nRegistration and payment required through their website\, link below. \n$50 per child \nSelf pay and Step Up Direct Bill
