DESCRIPTION:Beyond Play \nTaste of Japan Cooking Series for Youth \nWednesdays | 4:30-5:30 PM \nApril 8th – May 13th \nAges 9–13 | 6 Classes \nThis program introduces children and teens to basic cooking skills through simple Japanese recipes. Students work together to prepare food\, practice kitchen safety\, and learn about ingredients and cultural dishes in a structured class setting. \n⸻ \nClass Menu \n1. Hibachi Rice & Chicken \n2. Japanese Soups: Miso or Clear Soup \n3. Sushi Rolling \n4. Yakisoba (Sautéed Noodles) \n5. Gyoza Dumplings \n6. Bento Box Creations \nNote: Recipes are subject to change without prior notice. \n⸻ \nClass Format \nEach class is one hour and includes: \n• A short lesson and plate explanation \n• Hands-on food preparation \n• Cooking and assembling dishes \n• Eating together and clean-up \nStudents participate in all parts of the process\, including: \n• Prepping ingredients \n• Cooking \n• Assembling meals \n• Cleaning work areas \nAges Served 9–13 years old \nYounger and older kids are welcome based on skills \nAll students complete the same activities.
