Students will explore interactive exhibits\, dive into hands-on learning\, and enjoy a dazzling planetarium show. \n🗓 Schedule of Events: \n10:00 am – 1:15 pm: Explore the museum and enjoy lunch on your own. \n10:30 am & 12:00 pm: Two Learning Lab Sessions – Building the Future (24 students per session). \n1:15 pm: Meet at the Planetarium. \n1:30 pm: Planetarium Show. \n2:00 pm+: Wrap-up with SFLHRC; however\, you can stay until closing! \n🔬 Learning Lab – Building the Future \nStudents will step into the role of engineers in this 45-minute\, hands-on learning experience. They’ll work in teams to design\, build\, and test bridges that meet real-world challenges of weight and length. An elephant named Gerald and a pig named Piggie are best\, best\, “bestus” (a word Gerald and Piggie made up that means “very best”) friends. But Gerald worries that something could go wrong that would end their friendship. Piggie is not worried at all. She’s even happier and more excited than usual. That’s because she and Gerald are invited to a party hosted by the Squirrelles\, three singing squirrels who love to have a good time. And so begins a day when anything is possible. Gerald and Piggie will solve problems together\, sing and dance to music played by a band on stage\, make each other laugh\, share their favorite things\, get mad and sad with each other\, and even do a little goofing around with you\, the audience.
