DESCRIPTION:Anclote Pottery Spring Classes \nHomeschool Clay Classes for Children\, Tweens and Teens: \nWe are providers for Step Up! To use Step Up direct billing\, look us up in EMA under “Steliosandmichelleart” and put in for an 8 week session for each student. Once you put in for the session through EMA\, we will email you to gather the rest of the details and schedule your student. (Step Up does not need to register through this website. \nChildren ages 5-9 will learn techniques in hand-building\, creating guided projects each week. Students will build\, trim and glaze their projects\, learning the many skills needed for building sculptures with clay. Students may also work with their own hand-building project ideas. Instructors\, Michelle and Stelios will guide students toward incremental growth in handbuilding. Students must be ten years old to learn how to use an electric pottery wheel. \nTweens and Teens ages 10-17 will learn pottery wheel basics\, building upon their knowledge from week to week. Students will learn the basics of throwing\, trimming\, handbuilding and glazing. This class works as an independent study\, and instructors Michelle and Stelios will work with students towards their own personal growth. There is room for only six pottery wheel students in this class\, and each is guaranteed their own dedicated wheel. \nAdults may register with their child in any of the evening classes. You will just need register for a session for yourself as well! Adults will have their own dedicated pottery wheel\, and will have the opportunity to toggle between hand building and throwing on a pottery wheel. Students will learn the fundamentals of filmmaking\, and explore creativity\, collaboration\, and critical thinking. From scriptwriting to editing\, each student will experience the full spectrum of what goes into making a movie\, gaining skills that will serve them in any technical field. \nGrades: 1st – 12th (groups will be divided by ages) \nChaperones welcome with purchase of a ticket. \nProgram 1- \nStorytelling\, Directing\, and Camera \nStudents will kick off the day by learning the essentials of storytelling. Through interactive exercises\, they will brainstorm and craft their very own scripts\, developing the narrative and characters that will shape their short film. They’ll discover the role of the director in visual storytelling\, blocking scenes\, and communicating their vision to actors and crew members. Through hands-on practice\, they’ll experience what it means to manage a set and bring the story to life. Students will also be introduced to the world of cinematography\, learning the basics of camera operation\, framing\, and shot composition. They’ll explore how different camera angles and movements can \nenhance the emotional impact of a scene. They will finish this session with their very own short film ideas to begin filming! \nKey Skills: Story structure\, creating characters\, writing dialogue\, building conflict and resolution. \n• Key Skills: Directing techniques\, scene composition\, communication\,leadership\, working with actors. \nProgram 2- \nLights\, Camera\, Action! Filming the Scenes \nNow it’s time to bring it all together! Students will break into teams to film the scenes \nthey’ve written\, with each student having the opportunity to experience different roles \non set—whether as a director\, actor\, camera operator\, or part of the production crew. \nThey’ll put their newly learned skills to the test as they bring their scripts to life. \n• Key Skills: Collaborative filmmaking\, teamwork\, practical application of directing\, acting\, and cinematography. \nProgram 3- \nPost-Production & Editing \nThe final phase of the day is all about post-production. Students will learn how to edit \ntheir footage\, incorporating transitions\, music\, sound effects\, and visual effects to \nenhance their film. Membership required to continue. \nHOMESCHOOL $50 \nThe class includes 4 sessions for the month. Can be used one time per week. Makeup sessions must be done within the subscription month. \nHOMESCHOOL  $99 \nThe class includes 10 sessions per the month. Can be used twice per week. While registration isn’t required for parents or chaperones for field experiences\, we ask that each student be accompanied by a parent or chaperone. To ensure the best experience for all students\, we kindly ask that childcare arrangements be made for siblings and that only one adult accompanies each child. Exceptions can be made for one parent accompanying two registered children within the homeschool age range (e.g.\, twins\, multiple children ages 6–14). \nCost \n$30 per child

SUMMARY:[TAMPA] TGH Ice Plex Skating Classes
DESCRIPTION:The TGH Ice Plex Skating School is a member of the Ice Sports Industry (ISI). We model our Skating School program from this nationally recognized recreational based skating program. Each class level teaches skills that continually build upon the skills that were achieved in the previous level. It is very important to learn the basic skills so that a skater has a strong foundation to keep progressing forward. A successful completion of each class level may take more than one 8-week session. Each class is 30 minutes of instructional lesson and 15 minutes of practice time. The ISI has membership opportunity which enables a beginning skater to compete in local and national competitions\, perform in recitals and holiday shows\, test for badges\, and receive a membership card and skating magazines. \nRegister through their website\, link below.
