SUMMARY:ART HISTORY IN THE PARK
DESCRIPTION:Monthly Art History Co-op from 10am-2pm \nJoin us for our Spring 2026 series—Art as Voice\, Color\, and Place. Together we’ll explore five extraordinary artists who show us how creativity can tell stories\, spark joy\, honor memory\, and transform the world around us. From Artemisia Gentileschi’s powerful Baroque paintings to Alma Thomas’ joyful bursts of color\, Jacob Lawrence’s vibrant histories\, Louise Bourgeois’ deeply personal sculptures\, and the monumental environmental works of Christo and Jeanne-Claude right here in South Florida — each month offers a new window into art and life. \nMark your calendars for our Monday gatherings\, and get ready for another season of learning\, making\, and celebrating together under the trees. \n  \nWorkshop Dates: \nJanuary 26 – Artemisia Gentileschi \nPainting stories of strength and resilience \nFebruary 16 – Alma Thomas \nDancing with color\, rhythm\, and light \nMarch 9 – Jacob Lawrence \nTelling the stories of history and community \nApril 20 – Louise Bourgeois \nShaping memory and emotion into form \nMay 18 – Christo and Jeanne-Claude \nTransforming landscapes into living art \nSpring Season Pass Options (only 1 pass needed per family) \nOur Spring Season Pass welcomes your entire family into all 5 workshops from January through May\, plus early access to special gatherings and field trips as they arise. Note there is also a partial pass available to attend 3 workshops. \nThe tiers below offer different ways to support the real costs behind these experiences — choose what feels right for you. 🌿 \nI Can’t Donate at This Time — $1 \nCovers a symbolic portion of the season’s costs. \nPartial Season Pass (3 Workshops) — $75 \nIf you know in advance that you’ll be traveling or unable to attend the full season\, the Partial Season Pass allows your family to join any 3 workshops between January and May. This option helps us plan ahead for materials while offering flexibility for families with changing schedules. \nSeason Supporter — $85 \nCovers about 25% of the true seasonal cost for your family. Supports core materials and basic preparation. \nProgram Sustainer — $115 \nCovers about 35–40% of the true seasonal cost. \nSupports deeper materials\, planning time\, and workshop design. \nCommunity Builder — $135 \nCovers about 50% of the true seasonal cost. \nSupports additional supplies\, Living Gallery installations\, and accessibility for all families. \nProgram Champion — $195 \nCovers about 75% of the true seasonal cost. \nHelps fund the deeper work behind AHP — strengthening community partnerships and supporting long-term sustainability. \nPlease note: When the pass is spread across the season\, suggested contributions range from about $17–$39 per workshop per family\, depending on the tier. \nArt History in the Park is a true co-op. When you register\, you are committing to: \nAttend with your child(ren) (this is not a drop-off program). \nHelp set up\, tidy up\, or assist as needed. \nEngage alongside your children in art-making and discussion. \nThank you for being an active part of this shared learning community! \n*Space is limited—advance registration required.
