🕙 Meeting Time: 10:00 am at the front entrance
Join SFLHRC for an unforgettable day of discovery at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science! Students will explore interactive exhibits, dive into hands-on learning, and enjoy a dazzling planetarium show.
🗓 Schedule of Events:
10:00 am – 1:15 pm: Explore the museum and enjoy lunch on your own.
10:30 am & 12:00 pm: Two Learning Lab Sessions – Building the Future (24 students per session).
1:15 pm: Meet at the Planetarium.
1:30 pm: Planetarium Show.
2:00 pm+: Wrap-up with SFLHRC; however, you can stay until closing!
🔬 Learning Lab – Building the Future
Students will step into the role of engineers in this 45-minute, hands-on learning experience. They’ll work in teams to design, build, and test bridges that meet real-world challenges of weight and length. Through planning, building, testing, and redesigning, students will sharpen their creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and perseverance.
👩👩👧 Parent Participation
Parents are welcome to register and join the group for the museum exploration and planetarium show. However, due to space limitations, only SFLHRC staff may accompany students inside the Learning Lab. Parents can relax or explore nearby exhibits during this time.
