Archaeology Lab for Middle & High Schoolers Step into the shoes of a real archaeologist! Clean real artifacts: Carefully wash away dirt and debris from objects recovered during actual archaeological digs. Sort your discoveries: Group pottery shards, bones, shells, and other finds into different categories. Become an artifact detective: Examine clues to identify what each piece is and what it can tell us about the past. Think like a scientist: Learn the same techniques professional archaeologists use to uncover and interpret human history. Get hands-on with real discoveries and uncover the stories hidden beneath the dirt! Our instructor will go over the rules, give some history about the Weedon artifacts and then the students will start their labs. We do ask that parents and young ones, stay in the lobby, walk the trails or check out Weedon’s Museum, while waiting.
