CLASSES FOR AGES 3-18 YEARS OLD

Primary Ballet B: Ballet for ages 6 and older, or according to ability. Monday 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Ballet I: Ballet for ages 8 and older, or according to ability. Monday 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Ballet II: Ballet for ages 10 and older, or according to ability. Monday 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Contemporary III: Contemporary for ages 12 and older, or according to ability. Two ballet classes a week are required for dancers in this level. Evaluation required for this level. Monday 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Ballet III; Ballet for ages 12 and older, or according to ability. Two ballet classes a week are required for dancers in this level. Evaluation required for this level. Monday 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM

Pointe III: Pointe for ages 12 and older, or according to ability. Two ballet classes a week are required in addition to pointe. Evaluation required for this level. Monday 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM

Selah Academy is a dance school for homeschoolers directed by former homeschool and New World School of the Arts graduate, Brittany Kernohan. Selah Academy hopes to build each student’s dance technique as well as character. We believe as strongly in the power of a great dance education as we do about creating beautiful, loving and strong students. Selah teaches students the fundamentals of dance, body alignment and terminology, with focus on ballet and modern dance education. Classes harbor a fun and encouraging atmosphere to help build confidence, learn teamwork, grace and develop dance technique. We offer ballet, modern, jazz, tap and pointe classes all during the day, specifically gearing these classes to homeschooled students.

Selah Academy is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 9-level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels.

We offer classes Monday-Friday. We are at our West Davie location Monday through Wednesday, and our East Davie location on Thursday and Friday.
